Arcadia is a small but beautiful 3-star resort in Phu Quoc. It is located right on the beach with elegant design of pathway, bungalow and garden.

Arcadia Resort Arcadia Resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam

The strong points:

- The view from rooms is fantastic. The bungalows are right in the white-sand beach and there are windows all around, so you can see all of the beautiful scenery.

- Spacious palm garden with shadow near the beach.

- The location is great, right on the beach and not too far from Duong Dong centre. It only takes 15 minutes to drive to Phu Quoc airport and about 7 minutes to drive to local night market.

- Staff is very friendly and helpful. Receptionist is professional. The resort has staff to clean grass and beach areas daily. Staffs are willing to take care of your child while you are enjoying meals in their restaurant.

- Good-quality motorbikes can be rented by the day at good price (Vietnamese will be offered the better bike)

- Decent design of garden, bungalow and set up at night.

-There are always watchmen and security in the resort who does not allow the beach hawkers to disturb you when you lie on the beach.

- The Arcadia also has a great beach happy hour at night, serving BBQ seafood by the sea which should not to be missed.

The week points:

- Bed and duvet is a bit hard and uncomfortable.

- Sensor lock does not work well and takes time to open. However, the staffs are very helpful to fix the problem quickly.

- Included breakfast was very basic, catering to Vietnamese as well as Westerners but the quality and diversity could have been better. By the way, you will not go hungry with the breakfast.

- Wi-Fi at room is weak and occasionally works. However, you can use free computers with more stable internet access in reception.

- Restaurant: Food seems to be overpriced and not as good as the neighboring restaurants. Some dishes on menu are only available by season or pre-ordered. Service is slow and bar looks boring.

- Glass fronted design of rooms result in no privacy for ground –floor rooms. Everyone pass by can look into your room and curtain need to be pulled when the sun shines.

- The path built of stone appears above the grass which looks beautiful but might be dangerous for children.

- Road to the resort at night had little lighting and there are 3 little tombs at the junction which was scary. However, it is understandable that Phu Quoc is not a great place for night life as the electricity supply is limited in the island and they have to supply electricity by generator.

In general, Arcadia Phu Quoc Resort is suitable for young couple as its convenience location and facilities. Its calm and relaxing atmosphere with sun loungers, beach volley ball and massage service by the beach may bring a memorable holiday.
